Welcome to our Collective Katie Llewellyn! Our therapist supporting Maternal Mental Health and Parental Wellness
It is easy to build a dream with someone when you trust them implicitly. I have known Katie since 2011. I have had the privilege of moving through so many stages of life with her, school, graduation, first jobs, marriage, kids, loss of loved ones, and true friendship.
In everything, she puts values and ethics first. She is human-centered and incredibly compassionate.
I so admire her pursuit of maternal mental health, an area of mental health care that is often overlooked. Mothers are often the ones behind the scenes, managing the household, the extracurriculars, making sure the kids have clean clothes and lunches, field trip slips are signed, checking the apps, making sure the kids get enough outdoor time, and not too much screen time, have at least 50 SPF and that it is applied every 80 minutes. Mothers are often suffering in silence and doing it with smiles on their faces because parenthood is a privilege and is supposed to be joyful and what does it mean about me if I can’t stand the whining and am sick of volunteering for school events?
And then what happens when our kids graduate?
We experience a pregnancy loss?
Our baby is born sleeping?
We have the baby blues; can’t get out of bed to take care of our newborn?
We lose an adult child?
When our lives our built around our identity as being a mother, anything that shakes that up can be earth shattering. Katie gets it and has helped so many women re-discover themselves and find a way to move forward.
If this resonates with you or you know someone who could benefit from meeting with Katie, reach out now. You don’t need to suffer any longer.
