Meet Dr. Rae
When we think back to what our 5-year-old selves wanted to be when we grew up, I doubt many of us said “stressed, worried, irritable, scared, self-doubting, depressed, burned out, isolated, alone.”
Most of us have good intentions about who we want to be in this world and somewhere along the way we get off track. Whether it be because of an event, the context we exist within, an internal battle, or a mental health concern, circumstances in our lives create obstacles to achieving a healthy, balanced life.
As a teacher and a soldier, I saw pain all around me and felt helpless to alleviate it. At the same time, I was humbled by the strength of people who were struggling but chose life every day. These experiences ignited my purpose — to help others work through their pain and get back to the people they always wanted to be.
I am committed to helping you discover your personal obstacles to wellness and in collaboration with you, will create a treatment plan that will best serve you on your way to healing.
In recognition that both struggle and strength are deeply connected to identity, culture, family, and society, we will work to understand how the intersection of these factors are contributing to your (un)wellness.
“One of the greatest honors of my life has been walking with people who’ve faced unthinkable pain and still choose to keep going…
…Their strength reminds me that even in the darkest moments, there’s always hope.”
