Katie Llewellyn, MS, LPC

At the heart of my work is a deep passion for supporting mothers as they navigate the complex, often unspoken aspects of motherhood. While we celebrate the joy, love, and beauty that come with being a mother, we also acknowledge the challenges that many face—challenges that are rarely talked about. The shift in identity, breaking cycles, confronting past traumas, the overwhelming stress, and even the rage that can arise are all part of the journey.

Motherhood isn't always the smooth, picture-perfect path we imagine. It's a unique and sometimes difficult story, and when life doesn’t unfold as expected, it can create feelings of disconnect and pain. Through therapy, we have the opportunity to rewrite our stories, to reframe how we see ourselves, and to experience profound healing.

Though I am especially passionate about supporting mothers, I believe in the power of therapy for everyone. I bring extensive experience working with survivors of trauma, as well as individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and life’s other difficult challenges. Whether you're a mother or someone facing different struggles, I am here to help you rediscover peace and understanding in your own story.

Treatment Approach

With over 12 years of experience working in various clinical settings, Katie brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for helping others navigate their mental health journeys. Her work in the hospital setting when she met with her first postpartum mother ignited a special passion for supporting people through the complexities of parenthood. This led her to further her expertise by completing additional training through Postpartum Support International, which gave her a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional, and mental challenges that come with this transformative period of life.

In addition to supporting postpartum mothers, Katie is trained and experienced in working with parents who have gone through stillbirth, pregnancy loss, unexpected diagnoses during pregnancy and beyond, as well as families facing fertility challenges.

Katie takes an evidence-based approach to therapy, combining proven therapeutic methods with a compassionate, supportive environment. She views herself as a guide on your healing journey, helping you navigate the difficulties you face while always recognizing the strengths and resilience you already possess. Katie believes that you are the expert on your own life and experiences. Her role is to support you in rewriting your story, finding balance, and ultimately achieving the peace and well-being you deserve. With empathy, respect, and understanding, Katie is committed to helping you uncover the path toward healing and personal growth.
